Team Leaders Needed
All-women volunteer teams will come together to swing hammers, raise the roof, have a great time, and actively work to build a home for one family in Muncie, Indiana. The 2010 Women Build will take place April 30th-May 22nd, 2010 and you don't want to miss it!
Women Build enables women to help eliminate poverty housing by building homes and community. Through Women Build, thousands of women volunteers and homeowners across the globe gain the confidence and skills to lay bricks, pound nails, raise walls—and create hope. It's fun. It's hard work. It's satisfying. It's educational. It's empowering. And we know that you want to invite your friends to join you for a meaningful day.
It takes 160 women volunteers, about 1,200 combined hours, and $50,000 for materials to complete this project. So, contact us today to be apart of this special build! The goal for each volunteer team is to raise at least $1,000 to support the build. Every volunteer will have a special website making their collection of contributions very simple. Once friends and family hear of your involvement with Habitat they will be excited to support you!
As a team leader you are asked to:
- Recruit four women to join you.
- Distribute 2010 Women Build Info packets to each team member.
- Cheer on your team as they collect contributions toward the house cost!
- Encourage your team to attend Lowe's Education Classes
- Volunteer with your team during the 2010 Women Build.
Available dates for your team include:
Fridays: April 30, May 7, May 14, May 21
Saturdays: May 1, May 8, May 15, May 22
