The Global Housing Crisis

The United Nations annually designates the first Monday in October as World Habitat Day to move people across the globe to reflect on the world's housing crisis and to consider our collective responsibility for the future of human habitat.

The Local Housing Crisis

Each morning, more than 18,000 men, women and children in Muncie and Delaware County awaken to find themselves clinging to the lowest rung of the economic ladder. Moving from poverty to the lower fringes of middle class is a rocky road filled with many obstacles.

Providing Solutions

Muncie Habitat partners with people from all walks of life. Their desires are your desires: a better life for their family, security for their children, and a place to call home. Habitat Partner Families are hard-working, contributing members of society.

In Muncie & Delaware County

Greater Muncie Habitat has

8 families, including 13 children

who have been approved for partnership and

are awaiting the dream of homeownership in 2010.

Muncie Habitat for Humanity tithes 10% of local donations to Habitat of Bolivia.

Since 1986, Muncie Habitat has served

89 families in Muncie and 74 families in Bolivia.
