The United Nations annually designates the first Monday in October as World Habitat Day to move people across the globe to reflect on the world's housing crisis and to consider our collective responsibility for the future of human habitat.
The Local Housing Crisis
Each morning, more than 18,000 men, women and children in Muncie and Delaware County awaken to find themselves clinging to the lowest rung of the economic ladder. Moving from poverty to the lower fringes of middle class is a rocky road filled with many obstacles.
